May 6 – Meteor shower
If you like to follow the annual Eta Aqaurid Meteor Shower, caused by debris left by the comet Halley, pay attention to the sky from 3 in the morning of 6. Choose a place with low light to follow the show more easily.
May 7 – Full moon
On the 7th we will have the Full Moon, also known as “Luna de las Flores”. It will be an unmissable day for moon lovers.
May 12 – Conjunction of the Moon with other planets
Astronomically, a conjunction occurs when two or more celestial bodies appear next to each other in the sky. They are not very close, proximity is the result of their position in the sky, but it is still something very interesting to observe.
And on May 12 we will have two conjunctions of the Moon with two planets, Jupiter and Saturn. The conjunction with Jupiter will occur at 22:53 and with Saturn, from 23:14.

May 23 and 24 – Moon conjunction with Mercury and Venus
These days, after sunset, the Moon will be close to Mercury and Venus. It will be an opportunity to see the three together, showing their greatness, side by side. Look at the horizon and admire this scene.
May 27 – Launch of the first SpaceX manned mission
On the 27th there will be a big event: the launch of Demo-2, the first SpaceX crewed flight with the Crew Dragon capsule. The launch will be at 5:32 pm, Brasilia time. Veteran astronauts Robert Behnken and Douglas Hurley will be piloted by a Tesla Model X on a Falcon 9 rocket on platform A of Launch Complex 39 at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida (USA). The transmission will take place via the company website.
