This is What Your Eye Color Reveals about Your Personality
The eyes are the mirror of the soul and really reveal something about our personality, especially based on the color of the iris. The eye color can help us understand who we are and to better understand others.
A few years ago a group of researchers from the University of Orebro, in Sweden, conducted a study comparing the eyes of 428 subjects with the characteristics of their personality to understand whether there were between the structure of the eyes, the color of the iris and the character of correspondences.
Swedish scientists believe that there may indeed be correspondences between eye color and personality because the genes responsible for the development of the iris also play an important role in forming a part of the frontal lobe of the brain, which influences our personality. In their opinion, this information may be useful in the future in psychoanalysis.
Their results showed that different personality traits develop along with different characteristics of the iris. This is the opinion expressed by Matt Larsson, a behavioral scientist who conducted the Swedish study on eyes and personality. The study was published in the scientific journal Biological Psychology.
Even the experts of the University of Edinburgh have studied the connection between eye color and personality, emphasizing that the eyes are a real window on the world for the brain. Over time, the scientific world has frequently dealt with the subject.
Here is what has emerged from several studies concerning eye color and personality:
The personality of those with green eyes:
People with green eyes are considered particularly fascinating and mysterious at least according to what emerged from a study published by Impulse Corporation in Los Angeles.
According to Dr. Hamadi Kallel, who has long studied the color of his eyes, people with green eyes are original, creative, work very well under pressure, are rather mysterious and self-sufficient, hardly get angry and are often unpredictable.
The personality of those with blue eyes:
Blue-eyed people can sometimes look rather shy and very cautious in life.
Having blue eyes can have advantages especially for women since according to a study conducted in the United States women with blue eyes and generally with light eyes can better withstand the pains of childbirth than women with dark eyes.
The personality of those with dark brown eyes:
A study published by the journal Personality and Individual Differences says that people with very dark eyes tend to drink much less alcohol than those with light eyes, while another study finds that people with dark eyes are generally better in sports because they tend to struggle a lot to achieve their goals.
In general, people with dark eyes are considered mysterious and pleasing.
The personality of those with hazelnut or light brown eyes:
People with light brown or hazel eyes are independent and self-confident. Sometimes their eyes seem darker, while at other times they appear lighter, golden or with shades of green, especially depending on the light or color of the clothes they wear.
They have a balanced personality but sometimes they like to keep a certain touch of mystery.
The personality of those with dark gray eyes:
Gray eyes are rare and actually represent a color variation of blue eyes. According to experts, sometimes people with gray eyes have a multi-faceted personality with which they struggle to stay in balance and have to work hard to be taken seriously by others.
